There have been some complaints in other threads that this forum seems to be dissipating into the mists of failed forums of the past. There's not much new coming forth in the area of bizarre magic, they say.
I say it's all a matter of perspective. My latest e-Book for The Magic Nook is based on Servais LeRoy's 1909 "Where Do The Ducks Go?" or in my kiddie version, "Where Do the Duckies Go?" It wouldn't take much for a bizzartist to turn my version into a nightmare of appearing and disappearing Demons instead of rubber duckies. I try to only let you know about things that are more appropriate for the bizarre themes of this forum, but in truth, you can take almost any magic trick and make it bizarre with a little twisting, a creative story line, a hint of evil. Do a search for "Rubber demon toys" to see what pops up.
My "Elf Portal" which is also in the Wizards' Journal #35 along with the Duckies, is made up of cutesy elves for the kiddies, but there is no reason that your house can't be infested with the other kind of elves and hobgoblins that dwell in dark places and do dark deeds that aren't so cute. Try placing a spring rat trap outside an Elf door, and every once in a while you hear a large snap and have to go and clean up a dead bat or other varmint from the "other side."
